Bio
Hello All!
I am Corinthia Prather. I am a native Mobilian and a proud graduate of the Mobile County Public School System (John L. LeFlore Magnet High School c/0 1993). I have a BS in Chemical Engineering from Florida A&M University (Spring 1997) as well as an MBA from the University of Phoenix (2006).
This is my 7th year as a Mathematics Educator. Prior to being a teacher, I had a successful career as a Chemical Engineer and Production Superintendent at a local chemical manufacturing facility. Since joining MCPSS, I have taught 7th and 8th grade Math as well as Algebra 1 at the high school level. This is my 4th year at Pillans Middle School. Beginning this school year 2021-2022, I will be the Math 180 Intervention Teacher. I look forward to working with our students this year to continue to achieve and grow as citizens, as leaders and as mathematicians.
I live in Semmes with my husband and children and enjoy quality time with family and friends, travel, good food, TV and movies, ministry and other fun activities.
